- Abstract:
- Accuracy and dynamic response of conventional indirect speed observer is decreased due to po-sition differential,low pass filter and phase compensation for electromotive force ( EMF) . A direct slidingmode speed observer( DSMSO) of permanent magnet synchronous motor was presented to solve this prob-lem. Sliding mode observer was established by dynamic differential equation of motor current. Accordingto Lyapunov stability analysis,convergence condition of observer was derived. Observer parameters wereobtained while speed-estimating model was derived. Simulation and experimental results show that,com-pared with indirect speed observer,steady accuracy of DSMSO at low speed and middle-high speed is im-proved by 40. 68% and 50% ,respectively. Dynamic accuracy is increased by 51. 67% and 32. 61% re-spectively while convergence rate of observer error is increased by 33. 33% and 25% respectively duringacceleration and deceleration.
