Abstract:
 A precise solar model is the key of digital simulation and optimal design for the maximum power
point tracking system. For simplified four-parameter PV model ( Iph、Io、Rs、C) ,the open circuit equation,
short circuit equation and peak equation were analyzed,and the resistance incremental equation was
given. Combined with four standard electrical parameters ( Isc,Voc,Im,Vm)
 provided by manufacturers to
get the simplified model’s parameters,the resistance increment PV model was established,the photovoltaic
cells dynamic model which varies with irradiance and temperature was presented,and the maximumpower-
point dynamic model was proposed. Comparative study shows that the new model is a simpler
structure and a higher accuracy than conventional model. Simulation and experimental results verify the
correctness and feasibility of resistance incremental PV model; it can be used as a universal PV model in
theoretical analysis and engineering design.
