Abstract:
 In order to explore the feasibility of turn-to-turn over-voltage test on dry-type air-core reactors
in the field,simultaneously considering the tested equipments runned a certain age,27 sets 35 kV drytype
air-core reactors in substation were tested under 70% factory test voltage. Two tested equipments
were detected having turn-to-turn insulation defects,which confirmed the feasibility and necessity of making
turn-to-turn insulation over-voltage test for dry-type air-core reactors in the field. By analyzing the
problems during the field test,ground potential elevation phenomenon existed in the test. In order to decrease
the floating of ground potential,reasonable wiring way in the field test was proposed which provides
guidance for the turn-to-turn over-voltage test in the field
