Abstract:
The motor used in the shearer is installed in a limited space,with the increase of the design capacity,unit volume loss(heating rate) increases in it.In order to study the heating and cooling problems of the motor,heat transfer simulation model for water-cooled explosion-proof motor was established on the basis of analyzing its structure,materials,and heat exchange mechanism.Upon that the temperature field was calculated and analyzed in the stator,rotor and water jacket of the motor with finite element method.By comparing the experimental data and the calculated results,the model was verified.Calculation results show that the highest temperature of stator is in the upper layer of the coil near the air gap,and the Stator teeth is the main channel of heat transfer,in which the heat flux density is maximum,and the appropriate flow velocity of the cooling water can obtain the required cooling effect with the minimum cost.The works provide a theoretical basis for the thermal control and optimal design of water-cooled motor used in the shearer.
